Stamford Properties is wholly owned by Robert (Rob) E. Dickinson and David J. Bruening, both of whom started their careers with Grubb & Ellis (“G&E”). G&E was a fully integrated national commercial real estate company that was subsequently merged with the Newmark Grubb Knight Frank.  Rob came to G&E in 1995 and partnered with David, who was the vice president and director of the retail division for the Cleveland region.  David began his career with G&E in 1989.  While at G&E, the partners specialized in commercial retail real estate.  To that end they developed land sites, leased properties, provided consultation services, assembled vacant land, and sold retail properties on behalf of a wide variety of local, regional, and national developers, owners, investors and retailers.

In the late 1990’s, the partners formed Stamford Properties while still retaining their affiliation with G&E.  In 2002, the partners took Stamford Properties out of Grubb & Ellis and became an independent real estate services company.  Utilizing their experience and many connections in the real estate industry, Stamford Properties looks for opportunities for build-to-suit, development, redevelopment, brokerage for select clients, and property management.  The company specializes solely in the retail side of the commercial property industry.

Stamford Properties takes its name from the town of Stamford, a picturesque market town located in the County of Lincolnshire, England.  It is often referred to as the “finest stone town in England” and has been featured in many historic films. It was a favorite town of David, who served in the US Air Force and was stationed nearby.  http://www.stamford.co.uk/
